Know Everything!
improvnonsense:
I get in trouble for saying that because I deliberately say it in a jerk manner. KNOW EVERYTHING. When someone says “I didn’t know the movie my partner was mentioning” I’ll sometimes say “Well, you don’t HAVE to know it but it would be easier if you knew it.”
And then people are like “Why do I have to like Star Wars?”
And I say “Who said anything about Star Wars?”
“All these...
Things I am excited happened in 2011
January - I told my rabbi-ex story at a school night. Brandon Gulya (the future director of my one woman show) happened to be there and asked me what I was planning to do with the story. I had nothing planned for this story. I just wanted to tell it. The conversation with Brandon got me thinking.
February - I moved in with my dude J.R. on the upper east side. I really like the 4,5,6 and the tiny...

I am Thinking of Doing a 365 Song Covering...
I would start up a new tumblr for it. I am a little nervous about it, though, so I am still just thinking about it. However, I do have a list of twenty songs I would definitely cover so far. All I would have to do is come up with 345 more.
EDIT: It’ll probably be a once a week thing, instead of an everyday thing.

My cousin Amy’s band is awesome! Her band “Amy Klein and the Blue Star Band” made the list at #9! A list that Patti Smith and St. Vincent are also on!
My Spank is Tonight!!!
I am so excited! It’s going to be a great show and I am so lucky to have it grouped with two other great shows (Kiwi and Jojo Are Unemployed / George Kareman: The Ultimate Jam)! It’s going to be an awesome block! You should most definitely come out!

No Joke
I got an email from some one I didn’t know who saw my show “Convicts, Skinheads & Rabbis” and sought out my email through friends of friends and eventually got it. He told me he thought my show was hilarious, but it had sadly been keeping him up at night because I didn’t say whether some of the exes I talk about are in jail or not and he was genuinely worried for the...

I don’t think we could be more excited about anything ever! I do want to take a sec and thank absolutely everyone that has ever been involved with one or many of our episodes. Female Comedians Are Confidently Breaking Taste... →
Wow, this critic opened my eyes! What makes someone a good (female) comic, like Sarah Silverman, is not her art and ability to make topics that are not funny, funny, but to have as many rape jokes as possible. He totally gets it! I can’t believe I have never heard of this dude.

The police raided Occupy Wall Street at 2 am this morning, using things like tear gas and a bulldozer. They wouldn’t allow anyone in or out during their raid. They threw over 5,000 books from the OWS Library into the dumpster, tear gased the kitchen staff and destroyed hundreds of people’s…
